Death Road to Canada takes place over two in-game weeks as the party tries to make it to the border. They are almost essential to surviving those sieges. The game starts with two survivors going on a road trip, hoping to escape the zombie apocalypse in America, and escape to Canada. Lastly, once you can consistently get to the final sieges but can't seem to survive, the only things I can say about that is to keep kiting and focus on getting guns and lots and lots of ammo. Safer due to lack of hp/speed/morale penalties. Still strong but the stats are not as maxed out. The upside is that you have a very strong early game so you can focus on getting equipment and recruiting/upgrading other characters.Ī safer build would be to go Athletic/TSTC (once unlocked) + Warrior/Any and a support character with a unique personality (calm under fire, oblivious, paranoid, charming, etc.). The risk being your berserker has 2hp instead of 3hp and has slower movement speed, and your civilized will have half the maximum morale. That way you have someone with high zombie killing stats and can throw most furniture, and someone that can pass most choose your own adventure events. As for specific strategies to possibly beat the game, I can give you two main custom character strats:įor a high risk high reward team, go one Big Bruiser + Berserk and one Surgeon/Car Nut/Any + Civilized. And you'll start racking up those Zombie Points which will help out.ĭefinitely follow Toxinophile's tips, he pretty much covers everything. Search around every room and every house possible in an area, hidden houses are often nearby gyms, lost strongholds, and other similar places.Ĭan't think of any other tips right now, hopefully these can help. Tactics like throwing bombs in crowds, kitting them around, and killing the zombies faster than they can swarm are viable. Zombies in this game are inherently weak individually, but are unstoppable as a swarm. Ammo isn't exactly rare but it can spent really quickly in a single fight.īest guns are ak47, submachine gun, and auto shotguns as they can kill zombies really quickly. Weapons that cleave like a meat cleaver or a bardiche can effective for clearing crowds of zombies, and weapons like baseball bats and golf clubs have high knockback for single zombies, so load out accordingly to the situation.

So either randomized your starting characters to your preference, or just create oneto those preferences.Īttack damage is based on a random number irrelevant of strength, as that only affects attack speed, while fitness affects attack stamina.

Some events can only correctly resolved by specific traits like friend of dog, charming, paranoid, bandit, or oblivious. The choose your own adventure events are often resolved successfully based on your character's stats. Want a gal that'll fix the car and heal your team? Try charming or civilized for traits and surgeon or car nut for perks. Want a guy that smashes zombies non-stop? Use martial artist or big bruiser for perks and warrior or berserk for traits. Few tips from someone who's beaten this game and then some:īuild a custom character specialized for your playstyle.
